1st Sleepover with Herron Grandparents

Avery had her first sleep over with her grandparents when Steve and I went to Detroit for a Tigers game. As you can see she had a blast with them! We also had an opportunity to take her swimming when we returned. She doesnt' know what she thinks of the water yet when she swims, but she doesn't seem to mind it and is a little Curious George out there checking things out. Avery also enjoyed spending time with her Great Grandma and Jim as well as Aunt Nicole and Uncle Gregg.

Swimming Time!!!

After Avery's first time to the pool where it ended up to be a quality nap we finally have gotten her to actually get in the water. She hasn't quite figured out what is going on when she's in the pool, but she has seemed to like every minute of swimming (i.e. There has been no crying in the pool or pouty faces!). We're working on her learning to play and become the next female Michael Phelps!

4th of July with Grandma and Grampa Herron

We had an exciting 4th of July with Grandma and Grandpa Herron. Avery started giggling while tickled and has really enjoyed playing with her stuffed frog! Plus Grandpa Herron took some great smiling pictures of Avery, so you can finally see some her bright smiles and bright blue eyes! She has also been really working on her "tummy time", as seen above, and has finally been starting to not completely dislike it! Here is Avery's first video, as you can see she's a bit tired and ready for her nap time- but for those of you who aren't local you can see a bit more of Avery Grace! This was taken after she spent the afternoon sleeping through Naperville Ribfest!

Grandma- "Oma" Visits Avery Grace

"Oma" came out for a fun filled weekend with Avery Grace just as she started pulling out a number of tricks for everyone. Oma brought an extremely special gift for Avery- a hand made quilt, as seen in the pic with the three of us. We also took Avery for her first swim at the pool, but as you can see once we got her lubed up in sunblock, in her swimsuit, and to the pool she fell right to sleep! As you can see Avery loved her cuddle time spent with Oma! Plus Oma was here to help as we continued to work through Avery's feeding struggles- we are now on formula #6 and working through her eating with a Speech Therapist and waiting for an appointment with the leading Pediatric GI Specialist in the area.
